Second Time PROLINTAS at SORR 2016
PROLINTAS, for a second year running, continues its commitment towards preservation and conservation activities through its sponsorship of the Save Our Rainforest Race (SORR) 2016.
SORR 2016, organised by Pertubuhan Pelindung Khazanah Alam (PEKA), took 1,800 participants including PROLINTAS team to Hutan Simpan Sungai Menyala Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus.
Trekking through 15 kilometers of forest, rubber and oil palm plantations, PROLINTAS team went through seven checkpoints and completed tasks including selfies, tree planting, a semi-fear factor challenge and delivering goods to houses within an orang asli settlement.
Participants described the race as the most challenging thus far, yet found it exceptionally fun as well. PROLINTAS team came out of the race with a profound appreciation for nature, its beauty and its importance.
